What is XERATION?
XERATION is a gallery of realistic photographs in which ordinary objects with opposite emotional associations are fused into one shocking object. A new image is published every day.
Are these real photographs?
No. The images are photorealistic but created with AI, and the objects in them do not exist. Every image file is labelled as AI-generated in its metadata.
Why are the titles questions?
Each title is a short poetic question about the feelings the image evokes. It leaves the meaning open instead of explaining it.
How often are new images published?
One new image every day. Follow the RSS feed to get each one as it appears.
How can I find images on a theme?
Every image has ten tags describing its objects, materials, colours and mood. Click a tag on an image page or in the tag cloud at the bottom of any page to see all images that share it.
Can I use these images?
The images are copyrighted. Sharing a link to an image page is always welcome; any other use needs permission. See the License page.
Who makes XERATION?
XERATION is a project by Revolweb. More about the idea is on the About page.
